Policies support the printing industry to compete for business opportunities in the international market

Standing in front of two Buddhist statues in Xinjiang's Qiuci Grottoes "reproduced" by 3D printing technology, Zhang Xiaoqian, general manager of Shanghai Commercial Digital Image Technology Co., Ltd., showed a proud look on his face.

　　 The International Printing Week, which opened in Shanghai on the 10th, brought together powerful printing companies in China and also showed that China’s printing industry is advancing by leaps and bounds, even in the world’s hottest “3D printing” field.

　　 The "Report on the Development of China's Printing Industry Foreign Processing Trade Development" issued by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television stated that in 2012, China's printing industry achieved a total output value of 951.113 billion yuan, which is close to the second largest in the world. In 2012, the foreign processing trade volume of China's printing industry was 77.204 billion yuan. These data means that China has become an important printing processing base in the world.

　　 Wang Yanpin, Director of the Printing Distribution Management Department of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, said that in the context of the hindrance of the growth of China's foreign processing trade, China's printing industry has "flying against the trend" and its international competitiveness has greatly increased. This is also a microcosm of China's economic restructuring, innovation and transformation.

　　 According to reports, the "Yangtze River Delta" and the "Pearl River Delta" have become the polarities of China's printing industry. A group of companies, including Artron, Heshan Artos, and Shanghai Jinhuitong, are actively integrating into the global industrial chain by providing supporting services for international high-end products and publishing giants, and are developing rapidly. High-end printing products such as hardcover picture albums, children's toy books and electrical packaging are the highlights of Chinese printing companies' acceptance of "foreign orders".

　　王岩镔介绍说，2012年中国数字印刷企业已有728家，数字印刷总产值为63亿元，比上一年增长80%以上。
　　不过，她也指出，与欧美日等发达国家数字印刷已占整个印刷产业10%以上相比，中国数字印刷所占比重仅为0.66%，还有很大的发展潜力。
　　我国正在出台一系列政策激励印刷产业“走出去”，争夺国际市场商机。据悉，2012年，我国制订并发布了设定外商投资印刷企业的补充规定，规定前海、横琴两地设立出版物印刷企业，外商可控股70%.2013年，国家税务总局又将中国企业承印境外图书的增值税率统一降到了13%.
