Precautions for the use of UV coating machine

    UV varnish is a non-conjunctival material in the correct storage environment. It will be cured immediately after being irradiated by ultraviolet light, such as sunlight, welding arc light, and UV light. Illumination sources such as fluorescent lamps and incandescent lamps used in general operating rooms will not cause the curing of UV varnish.

    1. Special printing materials such as gold cardboard, PFT, etc. should use special UV varnish according to their respective surface properties. Refer to Article 6.

    2. Be careful to clean the shaft head from time to time. Because the UV varnish flows to the rotating part of the drive shaft of the UV coating machine, it will stick to the drive shaft under high temperature and affect the transmission.

    3. The UV varnish that is scraped off during glazing will bring the ink that has been printed on the printing material to the UV varnish on the glazing machine to make the glazing oil colored. After filtration and precipitation, these The varnish can continue to be used.

    4. The normal use temperature of UV varnish is 50-55℃. When using at low temperature in winter, the UV varnish needs to be heated in a constant temperature water area to make the viscosity reach the design viscosity, which is beneficial to the leveling and rapid curing of UV varnish. .

    5. The UV varnisher should be placed in a location where the sun can not be directly exposed, otherwise the UV varnish will be cured on the coating roller under the action of the ultraviolet light in the sun. If you can't avoid direct sunlight, you should also use red and black curtains to block the sun's rays.

    6. The photoinitiator and diluent in UV varnish have a certain stimulating effect on human skin. Therefore, in the glazing operation, if the skin touches the UV varnish, it should be washed off with soap and water immediately, otherwise the skin may be red, swollen and blistering.

    7. The viscosity of UV varnish varies according to the type of UV varnish, and special varnish should be selected according to the model of the varnish. If the viscosity of UV varnish is not up to the required viscosity of the glazing machine, it can be removed with a thinner or thickened with a thickener. However, this adjustment will lose the curing speed, brightness and adhesion of the UV varnish. This is not recommended. Try to replace the appropriate special varnish.

    8. When UV varnish passes through the UV lamp irradiated area, the suitable temperature should be 50-60 ℃, because UV varnish cures quickly at this temperature and has strong adhesion after curing. In other words, the lower the temperature is not the better under the UV lamp. Especially when the low-temperature workshop is glazing in winter, the adhesion and leveling are not good. The main reason is that the temperature is too low and the curing effect is poor.
